About the college

A northern institution for digital and infrastructure defence.

Founded in 2024 the Arctic Defence College is a Yukon-based private training institution offering industry-aligned education in applied technology for defence, cybersecurity, IT security, artificial intelligence and telecommunications. Working in concert with the Arctic Training Centre, ADC supports critical skills development in cybersecurity, leadership, infrastructure support and northern capacity building, particularly for Canadian Rangers and communities facing growing pressures in the Arctic.

Mission
To empower Indigenous Peoples, Canadian Armed Forces veterans and reservists, and the Canadian Rangers with the technical skills and leadership needed to protect Canada’s critical digital and physical infrastructure.
Vision
A digitally secure and sovereign North where Indigenous communities, northern workers and veterans lead the defence of Canada’s critical systems through world-class, locally rooted training.

When most people think about Arctic security, they picture ships, planes, or troops. In the North, security begins much closer to home, with the training and infrastructure that hold our communities together.

Resilience in the Arctic is not just about defending borders. It is about ensuring safe water systems in remote towns, reliable energy in extreme conditions, roads and runways that connect families, and housing that can withstand a rapidly changing climate.
